In this case that's because the \n is one too many, new lines in template literals implicitly add a \n, resulting in BEGIN:VCARD\r\n\n – to get just the CRLF \r\n, leave the \n, or put everything on one line; for example

const vCard = new VCF().parse(`BEGIN:VCARD\r\nVERSION:3.0\r\nREV:2024-07-30...

or

const vCard = new VCF().parse(`
BEGIN:VCARD\r
VERSION:3.0\r
...

plus it will crash if I don't include the \r\n
