[BUG] In start-stop-start scenario all the missed recurring jobs are scheduled and executed about jobrunr

Yeah, I see it as the feature of pausing and resuming recurring jobs. On top of that, in the Pro dashboard, you can also stop and start background job servers. So all is covered there.

If you can convince your company to take a Pro version, you will have your request feature out of the box and my eternal gratitude 😊.

Hi @phejl , thanks for your bug report and the time to create a github repo that reproduces the issue!

I'm afraid however that I don't think I will fix this... the reason for that is that this is a feature already implemented in JobRunr Pro. See the features mentioned here: https://www.jobrunr.io/en/documentation/background-methods/recurring-jobs/

As an open-source developer, it is really hard to decide where to put certain features. As it was mentioned to me several times that JobRunr OSS is "too good" or feature complete, I decided to put this feature only in the Pro version to have some leverage to convince certain companies to move to the Pro version.

I hope you understand (I also have 3 hungry kids to feed 😵‍💫).

Thank you @rdehuyss. I fully understand your point of making money on OSS and I'm perfectly ok with that. Perhaps just to reassure myself we have mutual understanding of the issue: I'm not asking for the feature of executing missed jobs - actually the opposite is happening the missed jobs are executed in the OSS version in stop-start scenario right after start.
