How to install? about assimp

I just never completely finished these bindings. Feel free to contribute! They're not too far from usable.

I just wanted to use the bindings again (used them some years ago) and i got the same error message. I know, far from usable etc but did cabal install work at some time? Strangely, i have a build in an old virutal machine. Anyways - i would be happy to contribute. could you give me any pointers how the setup is supposed to work or appropriate command line tools for producing the wrapper?

Hi Harald.

Most importanty I'd work from the tmp branch, which has been upgraded to work from Assimp 3. I don't remember the details of what was still lacking when I stopped working on it... Well, documentation was poor and I was hoping to build up a higher level interface.

As far as this concrete error... I'm afraid I can't be too helpful. I can only offer a few clues.

• Is hsc2hs installed on your computer?
• Can hsc2hs find the assimp headers? I don't know how to check this.
• Maybe something is wrong with Setup.hs? I don't remember the details of what it was doing.

oh cool. this branch looks promising. i made a single change in postProcess.hsc. appearently this is a case sensitivity issue. i made a pull request with the correct include. #3

now being able to compile i'm gonna check out functionality.
