How would you do it? A small example please.

For example. you can create interface for graphics.
in project you wanna take all graphic libs ( directx5-9, vulkan, etc)
you should create architecture for using graphics library.
as opinion user can use several options like what he want. use directx5 for old os or vulkan for newest one.
so you should create class like this
Not sure what its correct interface.

{
public:
virtual void PrepareScene() = 0;
virtual void drawScene() = 0;
virtual void drawTexture() = 0;
virtual void drawPolygon() = 0;
}

after that you add new sub project for directx5 and inherit class
class DirectX5Graphic final : public IGraphic
{
/// TODO implement virtual functions
}
