io_scene_bsp is a Blender 2.80 addon for importing Quake engine BSP files.

Supported BSP Formats

  • Version 29
  • Version 29a

Installation

  1. Download latest version of io_scene_bsp.
  2. From Blender: Edit > Preferences
  3. Select the 'Add-ons tab' and click 'Install' in the upper right.
  4. Navigate to the zip file and click 'Install Add-on from File'

Blender material shader setup is not compatible with UE4 :(

Would it be possible to either generate standard material shader in Blender when importing BSP or have an option in the UI of the add-on to allow having standard material shader?

Here is what happens by default (naming is different because I randomly took screenshots - the concept is the same for any material):

So when I export Blender's scene with correctly set up material shaders, after I export FBX and bring it into UE4, I get ready to go level.

Hexen 2 support ?

Would it be possible to add support for Hexen 2 .bsp ? From what I gathered, Quake 1 and Hexen 2 use pretty much the same .bsp format.

how i can import the light entity as a point light ? Not a empty object. Or convert them ?
