May I ask which browser you are using? At least for me the edit are is already in monospace in both IE and FF on Windows 7.

Subject: [json-ld.org] Playground formatting nits (#50)There should be some space at the beginning of lines in the edit and
render areas,
so that the text doesn't run into the left border. The edit area should use monospace font.
The edit area lengthens manually; the render area lengthens
automagically.
It would be nice to add a control to let the user shorten the render
area,
to optimize use of limited screen real estate.

We'll see what we can do when we update the playground next time... don't know when that will be since we're heads-down in trying to get the specs into a more stable form right now.

@ivikash, I'm assigning this issue to you now.
Edit: Didn't work, but please fix it nevertheless. Thanks
from json-ld.org.
@RichMorin Thanks for bringing that into notice! Can you please explain the issue once in the below shared screenshots
Also I am sorry I am not able to fig out "It would be nice to add a control to let the user shorten the render area,
to optimize use of limited screen real estate." because the render area is already responsive

Having just rolled out the new playground, it seems like a good time to revisit related tickets.
From the above discussion, it looks like the only issue not now dealt with is the resizeability. Here is a first cut at resizeable editors and output:

from json-ld.org.
That’s a great addition. I would just style them slightly differently. Instead of using a button with a 3D effect I would suggest to simply render it as a 1px line and change the cursor on mouse hover (cursor: row-resize). Would it be possible to resize both boxes in the top column at the same time? It feels a bit weird to have to resize them separately.
@bollwyvl, thank you so much for spending time on this. Much appreciated.
from json-ld.org.
@lanthaler created PR #317, which takes the resize insight into account.

All of this has been addressed in PR #317 by @bollwyvl. I thus close this issue now. @RichMorin feel free to reopen it if you feel it hasn't been addressed adequatly... and sorry that it took so long :-)
