Reasonable request.

Is this a speed/size thing during capture or a clutter of the tarball that takes you an extra bit to determine what is important?

I still think the default of collecting everything is reasonable. So given that a commandline option would be the best bet.
So there are two possible options I see:

  • detect which units are misbehaving (begs the question how, if we just use the status output)
  • give an 'only' flag e.g. --only application OR --only application/2 (where you can specify multiple if desired), which requires a reasonably smart user.

If there is a good UI proposal that doesn't require too much user-thought I would happily place it in the queue :)

I'll give this some thought and spec out an approach on this. Thanks for the feedback
