You will need to write mootools javascript for this.

you will new to include mootools.js (http://mootools.net/)
try something like :

try to update to Joomla! 1.7 or 1.6 these versions use MooTools 1.3

1.7 and 1.6 are Beta versions and are not solid releases even though they claim that they are which is why ALL developers still build for both.

I was hoping you might know how to update 1.5 to MT 1.3
