Actually I am also running into this issue with v0.6.0. It seems this is the offending line:

cp(openlibm_so, joinpath(libdir(openspecfun), basename(openlibm_so)),
remove_destination=true)

from specialfunctions.jl.

Had you built Julia using the system's libm then? Your versioninfo() shows Julia's libm as openlibm, which means that the build script should be using that.

Kind of mysterious that the cp call would be causing this, since the remove_destination option should remove the destination file if it exists before copying.

Thanks for the report, I'll look into it. In the meantime you can Pkg.pin("SpecialFunctions", v"0.3.1") to go back to the previous version.

This should be fixed on master and in v0.3.3. Please let me know if you run into it again.
