Hello.

The confing file is in c:\users<username>\TDM\tdm.cfg

Also I suggest you try the dev branch. It's much better at this time.

Hi,

thank you, now the manager runs.

But how to add Devices? I think it will autodiscover my devices from the IOBROKER?

Regards
Markus

jziolkowski avatar jziolkowski commented on August 30, 2024

In the dev version?

from tdm.

iNDeX999 avatar iNDeX999 commented on August 30, 2024

Yes, now i use the dev version.

I´m connected to the IOBROKER by mqtt...

And then ?

from tdm.

jziolkowski avatar jziolkowski commented on August 30, 2024

what fulltopics are used by your device? TDM autodiscovers devices following the default fulltopic and the swapped one, used with HomeAssistant.

iNDeX999 avatar iNDeX999 commented on August 30, 2024

Default i think

jziolkowski avatar jziolkowski commented on August 30, 2024

is the topic "sonoff" shared by all your devices? if yes, then it should be changed. Topic should be unique

from tdm.

iNDeX999 avatar iNDeX999 commented on August 30, 2024

Ok, can i use the same name for topic and client?

from tdm.

jziolkowski avatar jziolkowski commented on August 30, 2024

yes, this is irrelevant.

from tdm.

iNDeX999 avatar iNDeX999 commented on August 30, 2024

ok, done. All tasmota devices changed.

I restartet the TDM ... nothing to see

from tdm.

jziolkowski avatar jziolkowski commented on August 30, 2024

what do you see when you connect to your broker and subscribe to the following topic:
tele/#

from tdm.

iNDeX999 avatar iNDeX999 commented on August 30, 2024

Sorry, i do´t know what you mean.

from tdm.

jziolkowski avatar jziolkowski commented on August 30, 2024

do you use discord?

from tdm.

iNDeX999 avatar iNDeX999 commented on August 30, 2024

sorry, no

from tdm.

jziolkowski avatar jziolkowski commented on August 30, 2024

ok.
you need a MQTT client, so you can connect to your broker to see the messages being delivered.
Like this one: http://mqtt-explorer.com/

install it and connect to your broker. Then subscribe to the topic I wrote above

from tdm.

iNDeX999 avatar iNDeX999 commented on August 30, 2024

I could not find where to subscribe to the topic, sorry

from tdm.

jziolkowski avatar jziolkowski commented on August 30, 2024

oh right, mqtt explorer shows all topics.
Does it show any messages? It should, if your devices are connected to the broker

from tdm.

iNDeX999 avatar iNDeX999 commented on August 30, 2024

I could not see any message in MQTT Explorer, the devices are all connected

from tdm.

jziolkowski avatar jziolkowski commented on August 30, 2024

these are logs from iobroker, yes? I need MQTT traffic example.

from tdm.

jziolkowski avatar jziolkowski commented on August 30, 2024

this is not MQTT traffic. You should see messages being published to topics in mqtt explorer

from tdm.

jziolkowski avatar jziolkowski commented on August 30, 2024

Again, this is not MQTT output. MQTT explorer should show you messages being received from tasmota devices. This is output from ioborker logs. Different thing. I don't use IOBroker personally, so can't guide you there.

from tdm.

iNDeX999 avatar iNDeX999 commented on August 30, 2024

MQTT Exp. shows nothing only "connected" and the "Topic" part on the right is greyed out

image

Thank you for your time, but i think it´s useless

from tdm.

jziolkowski avatar jziolkowski commented on August 30, 2024

If your devices use the standard fulltopics, and are correctly connected to iobroker, and TDM as well, then the devices should show up immediately. There are too many variables in your setup outside of my control. I'd gladly help but I can't make sure everything talks correctly there.

from tdm.

iNDeX999 avatar iNDeX999 commented on August 30, 2024

to bad, but i use tis config for all Tasmota devices ( except "Client" und after your hint "Topic" )

jziolkowski avatar jziolkowski commented on August 30, 2024

I have no idea. It's getting late, I'll return to this issue tomorrow.

from tdm.

iNDeX999 avatar iNDeX999 commented on August 30, 2024

Or does i think wrong. The Tasmota Device connects to the (Mqtt/IO)broker . TDM connects to the Broker too and subscriped to the same Topic as the Tasmota devices?

from tdm.

jziolkowski avatar jziolkowski commented on August 30, 2024

the devices subscribe to their respective topics. TDM subscribes to tele/# and stat/# topics (and custom ones, if these are declared) and based on some tasmota logic and LWT messages, it autodiscovers them. That's why I wanted you to show me bare MQTT chatter, to see if all things see each other.

from tdm.

jziolkowski avatar jziolkowski commented on August 30, 2024

BTW it would be beneficial for you to make an account on Discord, because Tasmota has this great support server there, and soon i'm starting a similar one for TDM
