There should be a method getConnection() on the OrmExtension that will use the configuration, manually create the Connection instance and provide it.
A bonus would be to reuse the created connection and pass the instance to compiled SystemContainer after the compilation is finished (so it doesn't have to disconnect and connect again)
from doctrine.
