Hi guys, so the PR is merged and release candidate is available. I have tested both statefulset and daemonset updates. If you find any problems, please create separate issues :)

This is definitely a wanted feature, however it will require some redesigning of the k8s provider as it would be nice to support different kinds of workloads as well - daemonset, petset.
Are you currently using StatefulSets?
from keel.
Yes, we're using StatefulSets for applications that require persistent storage (e.g. databases). There's no proper way to do that with Deployments.
from keel.
Any plans to support this?
from keel.
Definitely, currently it's indirectly supported by Helm provider where you could have any type of resource.
We need further decoupling in kubernetes provider (https://github.com/keel-hq/keel/blob/master/provider/kubernetes/versioned_updates.go) from Deployment struct into some internal type which would hold just enough info but that's common to all types of resources, like labels, annotations, image version.
I will start working on splitting it up and making it easy to add new resources next week.
