The minimal example uses EEPROM as default at address 256. It's possible your ESP32 is not working or that location conflicts with another application or internal usage.

Using the README example, the SPIFFS is used, that's why it's working and you see file saving msgs.

The minimal example has been inherited from the original library, using RTC memory to store DRD-related data.

But now with your findings, I think I have to scrap it and replace with the one in README to be more flexible with more choices (EEPROM/SPIFFS, storage location, etc.).

Just let you know the old minimal example has been replaced with the one in README in new version v1.0.3.
