Hmmmm string_get_between(..) should return an empty string if it can't locate the left or right arguments. The string size error content should only be returning if you are attempting to deal with a character array that is larger than STRING_RETURN_SIZE_LIMIT so something screwy is going on. Feel free to submit a pull request if you've already fixed this otherwise I'll try to look into it.
