Thank you for the contribution!

It's a bit tricky to integrate though, and will need some code changes before
it's actually selectable, see
http://code.google.com/p/hackerskeyboard/wiki/FrequentlyAskedQuestions#Can_you_a
dd_a_Dvorak_layout? .

I think I have a plausible plan to get this working in the near future.

Possibly call it a new language, of "English-Dvorak"? I've seen a few things
that have one list of compound items, eg. English, English-Dvorak,
English-Dvorak-LH.
That's the simple but not "done right" way.

Added in revision 42e0b21c3374.

Please try v1.19rc1 (or later) and let me know if it works for you:
http://code.google.com/p/hackerskeyboard/downloads/list

It should appear as English (DV) in the input language selector, based on the
invented region en-rDV.

I've also added a 4-row layout for phone portrait mode. That's using an
11-across grid, I couldn't fit them in the standard 10-across one. Does it look
right? It's a bit asymmetrical, but I tried to keep the relative key positions
as close as possible to the full one.

Just to clarify, here's how to activate this layout:

- go to Hacker's Keyboard settings (the "gear" symbol at the bottom left)

- go to "Input languages" setting

- add a checkmark to "English (en_DV)"

Any chance of the left- and right-handed versions? I'm happy to put together
the keymap XMLs if they're easy to integrate.

Bulk update - changing "Fixed" to "Verified" for old bugs.

(Background: I'm changing the "Fixed" status to be considered open, the next
steps in the lifecycle will be the closed states "FixInTest" and "Verified".
This lets me mark issues as "Fixed" in commit messages without hiding them from
the issue tracker.)
