Dialog inputs bug and an improvement about pet

Came across the same issue after using copy+paste. It appears to do with the implementation of the view.

Copy+paste of a long value will insert spaces into the end result.

It's problematic when I have placeholders for URLs or something else that's a long string.

I was pasting the value from somewhere, whitespaces where entered on a long url entered in input param field. Perhaps it has something to do with url escaping not the length itself. I am not sure.

I think that there is no problem with the length of the view.
If you need a long view, how about the option (like --long)?

I have it as well. Tested with bash and fish in macOS Big Sur.

I have the same issue! When pasting into the variable input fields, additional strange characters like 200~ and (for long strings) additional whitespace is included.
