Btw. Note the 10x difference in the virtual memory. Not sure what's the reason. The number of cores reported by htop (i.e., virtual cores) is 10 so that might explain this (if it's somehow related to different way of how OpenMP is embedded)?

I think so – all bioconda software is currently built for x86 afaik. @leoisl might know more.

Sorry, I don't know much about Mac build, tooling or running... I just deal with Mac builds in bioconda when there is no way around it
