This is indeed because the algorithms are not yet implemented. You will have to wait until have ported them over, but this should happen within the next few weeks.

Depends a bit on how little programming you know. I have started adding logic for Cadabra packages in the form of Python files (see core/packages/) but you may want to wait a little bit with that until I have added some more, and until I have added documentation.

What you certainly can do is contribute in the form of tutorials. You could also think of converting the old manual pages (in core/algorithms/.tex and core/properties/.tex) to the notebook format (see some of the core/algorithms/*.cnb for how manual pages are written now).
