This is done on purpose. The idea is to allow to mix on the same dashboard different charts computed on different datasets. In such situation, not all the "drill-down" will work but it's still interesting to allow that for efficiency/speed reasons. What are your thoughts on this? Can I close the issue?

Well, currently when we work with dashboards, we only see the list of saved dashboards that have been created for the default table selected under Settings. So, right now we cannot mix visualizations created on different tables under the same dashboard.
