@jasonphillips maybe it should look like this? I assume it should eliminate the .bind(this) issue.

Sure, I had to look that up and test it with Webpack to see how it comes out, since I wasn't familiar with writing function definitions that way. It appears you are using the method definition syntax from EMCAScript 6 (docs link) which Webpack then turns into my basic function() syntax in the output. So the end result is what I was proposing above (at least until browsers widely support EMCA6 so Webpack no longer translates it) but the written code is much cleaner -- so a win-win from my perspective. Thanks for the suggestion.
