Is it just me or has Origin been added to the Control file of the package?

There's no mention of Origin for packages in the docs.
https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-controlfields.html

According to the docs Origin is a key/value pair in the Release file of a repository not a package. https://wiki.debian.org/RepositoryFormat#A.22Release.22_files

Unattended upgrades requires the Release file to have the Origin value in it. It looks in /var/lib/apt/lists on Ubuntu, which is a cache of the downloaded repo Release files and signed gpg file (if applicable).

Am happy to look at adding it as a command line switch, as I need this support for unattended upgrades for a custom repo.
