Confirmed this is a issue related to aws region.
seems like the aws-s3 has a build in default region, while obviously not the region I'm working in.
after add a line of code to cli.rb fix my problem.
AWS::S3::DEFAULT_HOST.replace "s3-ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com"
from deb-s3.

Thanks! I will take a look at it... I've been thinking of adding some concept of a settings file, since the number of options is getting long. 😄
