hi @panchomolt, I guess you did set the parameter dark_sand = True
in settings. At the moment the dark sand
option only works for Landsat imagery but I haven't updated the Sentinel-2 classifier yet, if you try with L8 images it should work.

I need an entire day of manually digitising sand pixels to re-train the S2 classifier and I haven't had time to do this yet, hopefully it will be done soon!

Hi Francisco,
We evaluated the accuracy of the shorelines at 5 sites that had long-term in situ monitoring programs (Australia, USA, France and New-Zealand) and the horizontal accuracy is usually ~10m.
You can read more about the accuracies in this paper https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0378383918305313?via%3Dihub
You are right, the georeferencing accuracy of the images is ~5m but then there are errors due to instantaneous and localised water levels as well as pixel resolution.
The only thing that you can correct for is the tide, you can find details about tidal correction in the paper.
Cheers,
Kilian

Hi Francisco,
I hope you are very well. If I am not mistaken I have seen that your region is not a rectangle. Could you please advise how many points you used to define polygon for your region of interest?
Best wishes,

Hello Francisco,
It was me that I sent the message to you. Yes, I think it would be interesting to see the GIFs and the points of the beaches as you kindly suggested.
Best wishes,
H.
