Hi Boris,

I've ticked the ones I think we should consider for deprecation.
That still leaves quite a few that aren't much used. Perhaps we should define a core set that we definitely want, and then consider the case for each of the others being added back in and see whether its function can be done more elegantly some other way.

Thanks, @robertcannon ! I think focusing on a core set makes sense, since it helps lowering the entropy of LEMS itself! Shall we have a separate issue for each one of the deprecation candidates?
