Semi-related tangent. Boulder on the v2 Staging server is currently returning that Account ID field as an integer rather than a string in the resulting JSON. If you set kid to the integer value "kid":1234, you do indeed get an error. But no error if you send it as a string "kid":"1234".

It seems to be because the code blindly trims the account prefix from whatever kid was sent before checking it.

Good catch - this should be fixed in Pebble to reject a KID that doesn't exactly match expected. 👍
