A comment on this would be awesome.

While Trust Dialog support is ready, we are one refactoring step away from a new proper release.
That last step is really important as it would draw the whole point of the iOS 7 fixes worthless.
Only problem is that the refactoring is quite deep and not straightforward which explains the delay.

Any timeline for this, or is there any way I could get access to a preview?

No public preview is required of a "in-the-middle-ob-being-written" commit. Targeting next week.

Work just made me get an iPhone so now I'm in the same boat. Thanks for your work and looking forward to the new release.

This is pretty cool, but uh... where did usbmuxd go? It's no
longer in the usbmuxd.git repo, the current released version
doesn't recognize commands that the new libimobiledevice binaries
send, and it dumps core. So now I can't even validate a pairing,
let alone mount with ifuse. What is the solution here?

A new usbmuxd release is due next week; however the latest git HEAD usbmuxd is ready for iOS7: http://cgit.sukimashita.com/usbmuxd.git / https://github.com/libimobiledevice/usbmuxd.git

@apeiron It's not "gone", the libusbmuxd library has been split out of the usbmuxd repository as a separate project. The usbmuxd is still required on platforms lacking it.

Passed more than two weeks.

I wrote a letter on March 23 Debian maintainers to update libimobiledevice:
"I bring to your attention that there was a new version of the library libimobiledevice 1.1.6.
Details are given on the official website:
http://www.libimobiledevice.org/
Including fixed bug Trust Dialog Loop, which did not allow to work with iOS 7 devices. When can we expect an update library in Debian Testing?"

Here's what they said:
"It'll take a while. I've started work on it already, but I noticed that libplist
has been updated, and libusbmuxd has been split into a separate package (used to
be part of usbmuxd).

Both of these need to be uploaded before libimobiledevice can be updated,
because libimobiledevice requires the new versions of both packages.

Additionally, libusbmuxd, being a new package, will have to pass through Debian
NEW[1], which takes an indeterminate amount of time to clear, so I can't really
say when it'll be ready.

Everything also has to go through Debian unstable and see no bugs for 7 days
before they get migrated to Debian testing, so you're in for quite a bit of
wait."

As you can see, not work update libimobiledevice without update usbmuxd. I understand that you want to make the most functional and stable library. But now it does not work with iOS 7 absolutely nothing.
I ask to release a ubmuxd as soon as possible.
If you need help with testing, I have the iPhone 5 with iOS 7.1.0. And I can help.
Thanks in advance.
