if t
is a global variable then you should be using the "evaluate" delimiter instead of the "interpolate" because interpolate is for data object properties.
So something like

<% print( t.signout ) %>

from lodash.
In the process of optimizing Lo-Dash I've more rigidly enforced API boundaries so there is less overlap/bleeding in functionality. This means "Arrays" category methods only work with arrays (or array-like objects) and in this case "interpolate" delimiters only work with data object properties, as they should.

couldnt agree more, just brought it up since Underscore doesnt do this.

@jonasenander thanks for reporting it :D
I've listed compatibility issues in a wiki post here, but since this goes against the documented/tested usage and because the fix is trivial it seems less of a compatibility issue and more of a misuse of _.template
.
