Update: I could revert back to rtl8xxxu and got the adaptor in networkmanager again.

I rechecked the code, and could not find any problem with newer kernels. Run this driver, do the command
sudo dmesg -t > dmesg.txt
and attach dmesg.txt.

I'm a bit awkward to admit it but driver is working fine. I don't know it this was all caused by dkms (which I uninstalled after removing dkms config for this driver). I apologize for taking you time.
