[Point 1 of the team sharing list](https://github.com/madskristensen/BookmarkStudio/issues/13#issuecomment-4330496000) given in #13 doesn't work that universally as I'd need. More specifically, the `.bookmarks.json` can only be located beneath `.git` or the solution, or it won't currently be considered by the Bookmark Manager.
Instead, it should just walk up the directory tree starting at the solution directory and use the first occurrence of `.bookmarks.json` on that path as Workspace bookmarks.
Ideally, there would be no reference to `.git` in the Bookmark Manager source code, since that wouldn't longer be needed.
If in doubt, you may stop at the repo root if you want to stay a little bit git specific.

Fun fact:
- When the default storage location is not *Personal*,
- the solution is within the user profile (which seems to be the default since Visual Studio – at least in my installations – proposes `%userprofile%\source\repos` for new projects) and
- the solution is not within a git repo,
then the Global and Workspace locations coincide and adding the first bookmark will look like this:
