Cleaning up my Start page history involves right-click, delete for every item I want to remove.
It would help if all except pinned items could be deleted in one go or, there could be check-boxes to select which items need to be deleted in one go. This would make mass clean-up simple and quick.
Implemented a new ellipsis menu next to **Search recent** on the Start Screen, matching the experimental Welcome Page experience. It provides three actions:
- **Clear All** - removes every recent item, including pinned items.
- **Clear All But Pinned** - clears unpinned items while preserving pinned entries.
- **Clear Missing** - removes entries whose solution, project, or folder no longer exists.
The actions update both Visual Studio's MRU store and Start Screen's extended recent-item history, including pinned settings, so the lists remain consistent.
