Compatibility about tiled

That's unexpected. Can you send me a map file that can't be opened using Tiled on Windows? What is the displayed error message? Which version of Tiled are you using?

I'm guessing this might be a regression related to the tile flipping feature I introduced for the next release. Are you using that feature?

Your problem is due to saving your map and your tilesets on different drives. In that case Tiled has no other option but to store the full absolute path to the tileset in the map file, which means it is no longer able to load it on other systems unless the tileset is available at the same absolute path ("D:/maps/city tile.jpg").

To avoid this problem, store your map and tileset together in the file hierarchy of your project, and not on different drives.
