Caching layer? about simple.data

It's something I've thought about, and I'm going to see if I can build a sort of secondary plug-in model, which can work alongside adapters and providers to do things like caching using different tech (e.g. memcached, Redis, AppFabric, etc).

Cool. I'm working with NHibernate caching at the moment, and sadly, it is not
designed for distributed caches: no pipelined gets, and poor distributed
locking support. So, designing the plug-in model with distributed in mind
would be a big win, I think.
