getFileSystem with the URI of a closed filesystem throws NPE about memoryfilesystem

I can't quite reproduce this. The following test succeeds:

    URI uri = URI.create("memory:getFileSystemUriClosed");
    Map<String, ?> env = Collections.<String, Object>emptyMap();
    try (FileSystem fileSystem = FileSystems.newFileSystem(uri, env)) {
      assertSame(fileSystem, FileSystems.getFileSystem(uri));
    }
    // file system is closed now
    try {
      FileSystems.getFileSystem(uri);
      fail("file system should not exist anymore");
    } catch (FileSystemNotFoundException e) {
      // should reach here
    }
  }
