ketheriel did you mean mate-keybinding-properties (not preferences)
I am confirming this issue, I can not assign a shortcut to "Run a Terminal"

This isn't just a bug with 'run a terminal', you can't seem to create custom shortcuts either. I have created a custom shortcut to run '/usr/bin/terminator', and bound to Alt-T. I have tried several different shortcuts, and several different key combos to no avail.
As per an irc conversation I have tried updating mate-terminal to 1.5, this has not fixed the problem.
(using fedora 18, which is currently mate-control-center-1.5.2-1.fc18.x86_64)
