How to migrate from Mattermost 2.x MySQL to Mattermost 3.x PostgreSQL ? about mattermost-docker

Don't know why it's not displayed here...

So @npcode, I have already found and read the documentation you gave me but it's not helping. My current installation uses the former Docker image and I can't connect into it by exec bash or attach (it tells me « no such file or directory »).
So I can't run the migration commands listed in that documentation.

Furthermore, it's not clear if the result will be a "new" MySQL database or a PostgreSQL one. If it will be a "new" MySQL one I don't know how to use the new Mattermost database Docker image, based on PostgreSQL only.

@GuillaumeAmat Sorry, I deleted the comment because I misunderstood your question. I missed "mysql to postgres".

It seems that there is no script or program to migrate a Mattermost mysql database to a postgres one. I also had a simmliar problem to migrate a Mattermost postgres database to mysql one and my coworker wrote a program to do that for me.

Hi @GuillaumeAmat, I still working on migration program. It works on fine on us, but it has some problems to published as is. It has const parameters like database connection strings, and it was targeted on Mattermost 3.1 so it won't work on Mattermost other versions. At now, I am doing other project's issues, so I will refactor migration program and support for Mattermost 3.3 during weekends. I think it will be publish next weekdays.

It's not a problem for me to migrate on Mattermost 3.1. I will upgrade the installation after that.

I appreciate your work but I'm waiting for 2 month now and it's a big problem for me. Please, send me your script.
