Unable to login due to invalid credentials - fix detailed inside about pod-point-home-assistant-component

@robintoy try loading the PodPoint app on your phone. I had the same issue today and my iPhone app loaded without issues however the iPad app had logged me out and wouldn’t recognise my password. I had to reset password and log in iPad, iPhone and HA with the new password

The strange thing is I have not used the podpoint app in 12 months due to this HA tool.

I did login (using details from password manager) about 3 days ago and it worked so did not even think of that. So I logged out and used details from my password manager and it would not work again.

Reset as you say and bang! Working like a charm, just shows you how bad podpoint is software wise.

I also had "the user credentials were incorrect" error appear, and also fixed it by resetting my password in the PodPoint web app https://charge.pod-point.com/login.

Because the github issue list hides closed issues in the default search, maybe it would be worth leaving this issue open for a little longer to make the solution a bit more visible to other people who come searching?

Sorry I have not done logs, only been using Ha for 12 months and first time I've had an issue so still learning the ropes as such.

Pleased it worked for you both. I’m sure PodPoint did something in the last few days to be exhibiting this behaviour. I thought it strange the way my iPad wouldn’t sign in on Saturday with the correct password, even more strange that I’m not the only person to have got the same issue.
I use the iPad/iPhone app daily to log mileage, cost per mile, amount of electric I have put into the car, amount of petrol I have put into the cad etc in a brilliant app called Spritmonitor.
I use the HA integration to control and schedule the charge itself - much more control than using the PodPoint schedule
