Okay, so calling XInitThreads is required then. At least, on xcb backend that I never checked.

I've pushed the fix onto HEAD. Let's see if it works.

I run on Gnome 42 with Wayland.

Gnome/Mutter deliberately not supports wlr_data_control protocol. Therefore, neoclip/Wayland can't do anything. I mentioned this at :h neoclip-issues. But it has XWayland compat. layer, so neoclip/X11 should work okay after the problem with XInitThreads is gone.
