Will look into it. I know why it's happening. The way I collapse the header currently is by shifting the header up to hide the top portion and then shifting the icons down so they are visible. The shift up is causing the extra space. For now you might be able to also set a background color so that the black/white portion can be set to a color that matches the background pic. Will make it a bit less noticeable.
I should be able to hide the header a different way to achieve the same result.
