Ok, I agree that this is undesirable, but just for the record: if you want to use substitution in the replacement string, you should also match some groups by using parentheses. A more reasonable regex is ^([^c])$/$1.

I'm going to make the following changes: if after renaming, the name of an action becomes empty, the tool will print an error and terminate. The alternative choice where an action is deleted if its name becomes empty can already be achieved by renaming to tau or delta. I think the latter action has clearer intention anyway.
