Right now the only way is to manually remove it, however the yeoman generator will allow you to select the modules you need meanjs/generator-meanjs#3 . Currently when generating a new project sign in is built in... this seems a valid use case tho.

I'm not very familiar with Passport and I'm just learning MEANjs. Could someone give me some ideas as how to disable and clean this out of a project?

There isn't a quick method at the moment. (might be a future feature of the generator). If you want to keep the articles modules as a springboard, you need to delete the users module, and the users files in the app directory. Remove anything that has to do with authentication and passport.

My current project doesn't need authentication (so I scrubbed it a couple weeks ago and can't remember the details), but future projects will and I'm glad to know that it is all integrated from the start.

@theviking we shall integrate this feature in future versions of the generator, but for now you can just follow @revdave33 advice.

hi @theviking can you close the issue here and open it in the generator repo?

Will do. Thank you.
