Thanks, that is nice of you! Should update the install part with a Pi segment, otherwise it will vanish in a few month!

I also had to install libuv1-dev otherwise it gave me some errors about types not being convertible on my Raspberry Pi 2.

@LaChirla Can I ignore the
"In file included from In member function ... will change in GCC 7.1" - messages during make?

On a full raspbian, updated from Jessie to Stretch,
I get:
Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done autoconf is already the newest version (2.69-10). gawk is already the newest version (1:4.1.4+dfsg-1). libcrypto++-dev is already the newest version (5.6.4-7). libcrypto++6 is already the newest version (5.6.4-7). libcurl4-openssl-dev is already the newest version (7.52.1-5+deb9u9). libfreeimage-dev is already the newest version (3.17.0+ds1-5). libreadline-dev is already the newest version (7.0-3). libsqlite3-dev is already the newest version (3.16.2-5+deb9u1). libtool is already the newest version (2.4.6-2). sqlite3 is already the newest version (3.16.2-5+deb9u1). libc-ares-dev is already the newest version (1.14.0-1~bpo9+1). You might want to run 'apt --fix-broken install' to correct these. The following packages have unmet dependencies: libssl-dev : Conflicts: libssl1.0-dev but 1.0.2q-1~deb9u1 is to be installed Recommends: libssl-doc but it is not going to be installed libssl1.0-dev : Conflicts: libssl-dev but 1.1.0j-1~deb9u1 is to be installed zlib1g-dev : Depends: zlib1g (= 1:1.2.8.dfsg-5) but 1:1.2.11.dfsg-1 is to be installed E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt --fix-broken install' with no packages (or specify a solution).
when I try to install dependencies.. zlib1g seems to be giving me the most hassle. When I try 1.2.8, it asks for 1.2.11. When I have 1.2.11 it asks for 1.2.8
