Translation missing error about merit

Hi, thanks for reporting. About translation missing, you need to add the badge names to your yml files, like, for example in config/locales/en.yml:

en:
  badges:
    rookie:
      name: Rookie

I'll leave this open until it's explained in the wiki.

About u.badges, it should work normally, could you please add more details?

I removed in master the "feature" that displayed the flash message. Either we should build it more robust, or take a look at other type of notifications.
