A workaround seems to be to pass myCollection.collection to autoform helpers.

Thanks @scottburch, yep changed the the way it works - I'll see if I can make it work as an instance of Meteor/Mongo.collection.

Btw. I think you could still do:
var foo = new Mongo.Collection('foo');
var fooGrounded = new GroundDB(foo);
// hand in foo as normal

I'm pretty sure it would. I have a factory that creates collections
because I do a lot of other things to them so I would not do this exactly.
However, I think my solution of passing fooGrounded.collection was
effectively the same solution that you came up with. Should I not do
that. I figured that since it did not start with '_' that you intended
.collection to be part of the api.
Am I wrong?
