Looks like you're on linux. Try this:

Correct, got this error on a debian VM.

A friend's advised to manage this "many static files" case using a redirect rule in nginx, but it'll not help a lot in dev mode.

Aha. Here is the underlying issue: joyent/libuv#300

This is fixed in libuv on master, but has not been backported to the node 0.6 branch.

Getting this issue because I'm putting a node_modules inside the public/ directory.

Noting that this will be resolved if we end up upgrading to Node 0.8 (issue #268).

Node 0.8 is merged, so this issue should now be fixed on devel.
