The twitter mapping doesn't work and will be removed in the next (first) major release. Check out https://github.com/indieweb/php-mf2-shim, that’s what aaronpk and myself are using in production. I’ll write up a proper readme with usage examples tomorrow.

So “tomorrow” took a little longer than I expected, but over the last month or so mf2-shim has become suitable for use, with mappings for twitter.com and facebook.com, as well as installation and usage instructions: https://github.com/indieweb/php-mf2-shim
php-mf2 v0.2.0 removes the ability to add custom class maps, mf2-shim is now the official way of shimming support for sites which don’t use mf2 yet.
Let me know if you need any help getting mf2 shim set up!
