Hi @TonyWildish-BH is there a particular version of the TRE you're testing this on?

we last merged the upstream repo from commit ea63ebf, from Tim on 09/04.

I've tested on main and this is the drive in the folder window on a linux vm

digging deeper, that doesn't seem to be the shared storage folder after all. It looks like the shared storage is mounted on /fileshares/vm-shared-storage
on the Linux boxes, so this thinclient_drives
must be something else, looks like an internal Guacamole sharing protocol?
from azuretre.
It turns out that the shared storage on /fileshares/vm-shared-storage
doesn't play nicely with Linux. The screenshot below shows what happens when, logged in as a normal user, not root, I try a few things.
Creating a directory works, though the directory is owned by root, not by the user I'm logged in as.
Creating a file claims to fail, but it doesn't, it actually succeeds, so this is not good.
Things work as expected if I'm root, but that's not safe. It has to work correctly for the logged-in user. Files and directories created by the logged-in user should be owned by that user, not root.
