Interesting error message, hmmm I wonder why msbuild picks up Release|x64 since the solution already only mentions Any CPU platforms: https://github.com/microsoft/coyote/blob/main/Coyote.sln#L56?

I was able to fix this by adding /p:Platform=""Any CPU"" in the build script as seen below:

$command = "build -c $configuration $solution /p:Platform=""Any CPU"""

But I am not sure if its safe to just add it in the build script (safe from the perspective of the nuget packages that we publish), the solution already is defined with Any CPU, so its a bit strange that building from the script does not pick that up in the x64 command line ...

Looks like a good solution, but I agree it's odd that this info in Coyote.sln doesn't provide a default for dotnet.exe:

	GlobalSection(SolutionConfigurationPlatforms) = preSolution
		Debug|Any CPU = Debug|Any CPU
		Release|Any CPU = Release|Any CPU
	EndGlobalSection
