The jumplist is only updated when the CascadiaSettings::Hash changes. The hash is calculated based on the settings.json contents (here). This works for when fragments are added, because this triggers the addition of profiles to the settings.json. However, it seems the removal of fragments does not trigger the removal of profiles and so the hash doesn't change.

Does Completely closing Windows Terminal change anything? What about restarting the explorer.exe process? or your entire system?

I've rebooted the computer and the entries are still there.

Team thoughts: a mild workaround would be to actually just hit "Save" in the settings UI. That should update things enough to update the jumplist.

I just tried that and it does remove the missing profile entries from the jumplist.
