The model could be used to estimate the age at which the plants are replaced by CCS plants.

The code should run in the version of Python 3.4, 3.5, 3.6.
Not only with the version in the distro I currently use.

Some coal, gas, oil and hydro capacities listed in the EVN report historical table are
not accounted for in the PDP7A current capacity total
The order of magnitude corresponds to capacities installed before 1985,
which in all probability are already closed or will be before 2030.

Gas capacity in EVN report includes the Tu Duc and Can Tho oil-fired gas turbines (264 MW)

Check the operational status of plants installed before 1985, they may be closed already.

Use a different regression package.

When I ran the main script with the "summarize" arguments two issues occured:

• the script could not apply the pv function to external_cost because it was a float and not a serie (I changed the definition of the external cost, from self_emission and not self_emission[Total] (line 108)

• line 145, total_production is a float and not a serie, I had to change the round method to a round function.

On my computer the script didn't differentiate the two last columns of the annex1.txt file. I changed the indentation of last column data.

The energy transition is done when the last coal power plant is retired.
To study the stranded assets problem, we want to compare two scenarios a) coal power plants are used to the full extend of their design life. b) they are phased out early. In the scenario a) if the last new power plant opens in 2030 then it would normally end-of-life around 2070.
