Rewrote several sections to deal with bytes directly. This is a first step to read and work with the input file a section at a time.

Reading and working with bytes now. This seems to keep memory usage low. The file is still opened in its entirety, but only a single block is read and worked with before moving to the next block. Further testing is required, but the yield_blocks function seems to be working appropriately.
